Liquid Collagen and its Anti Ageing benefits

Updated: Apr 8, 2023

This article summarises the health benefits of Liquid Collagen, Nrf2 and Protandim.

There are various products on the market that claim to have anti-ageing qualities, but evidence is growing to prove that LifeVantage Liquid Collagen by True Science is much more effective. To summarise, it doesn't act like a vitamin supplement where your body absorbs some and excretes the rest. LifeVantage Liquid Collagen stimulates the body's own ability to create collagen. The consumption of a single 50ml bottle per day of apple berry liquid collagen can bolster your overall state of health and well-being. This process is significantly improved by coupling your daily consumption of Liquid Collagen with Protandim herbs by LifeVantage. Let me explain...

NRF 2 is a revolution in science and is the most important anti-aging pathway in the human body. It is a messenger protein which is in every cell of the body; It activates genes and is involved in redox balance, and is a master regulator. Unfortunately, NRF-2 declines with age and therefore more oxidative stress occurs. Thankfully, the consumption of liquid collagen and Protandim can assist significantly.

Big Pharma are developing NRF 2 activators for which they have patents, but there are also natural NRF 2 activators such as Protandim. So what's Protandim? It is a combination of 5 plants: Bacopa, turmeric, green tea, milk thistle, and ashwagandha. Interestingly, studies have shown that the individual ingredients have little effect on their own, but they have an 18-fold increase when combined. Studies show that after 30 days of taking Prodandim, age-dependent increase in TBARS was almost completely abolished, and there was an overall average reduction in oxidative stress markers by 40%. (NB – TBARS are a measure of cellular ageing)

NRF 2 stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis and autophagy (removal of damaged organelles), and reduces the inflammatory response. The Michael J Fox Foundation is now actively studying NRF 2 as a protective mechanism in Parkinson’s Disease.

Oxidative stress is a disturbance in the balance between the production of reactive oxygen species (free radicals) and antioxidant defences. Causes of oxidative stress (free radicals) include radiation, drugs, pollution, poor diet, inflammation, pesticides, alcohol, smoking, stress, injury trauma, ageing, infection, excessive exercise, and inadequate exercise. All this can contribute to cellular ageing, disease and death.

Thankfully there are many detoxification genes that are activated by NRF 2.

Below is a list of diseases linked to oxidative stress.

Eyes - macular and retinal degeneration, cataracts

Heart - cardiac fibrosis, hypertension, ischemia, myocardial infarction

Skin - psoriasis, melanoma, dermatitis, skin ageing

Kidneys - chronic kidney disease, renal graft, nephritis

Joints - rheumatoid osteoarthritis, psoriasis

Lungs - asthma, allergies, cancer, COPD, ARDS

Brain - stroke, cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke, ADHD, OCD

Immune system - chronic inflammation, lupus, cancer, MS, auto-immune disorders

Blood vessels - hypertension, atherosclerosis, endothelial dysfunction

Multi organ - diabetes, ageing, chronic fatigue syndrome

As the writer of this blog, I can assure you that I would not endorse a product without trialling it first. So, apple berry flavoured Liquid Collagen is definitely food for thought. Click this link to try it. https://leoniemacpherson.lifevantage.com/au-en/shop/categories/collagen
